	Many Golden Deeds! Dena Goeckner is the 2008 recipient of the Book of Golden Deeds Award presented by the Exchange Club of Newberry. The Book of Golden Deeds recognizes dedicated volunteers who give endless hours of their time and talents toward making their communities better places to live. Newberry College’s jazz combo, the College Street Jazz Connection, presented their final performance of this academic year on Monday, April 21, at 8:00 p.m. The College Street Jazz Connection has won awards at jazz festivals in Elmhurst, Ill., and Dothan, Ala.
